Sensible guidelines for women in leadership

<p>To advance careers and increase women’s leadership in technology, Cognizant introduced Shakti on Thursday. Shakti is a collection of women-centric programs and initiatives. Almost 40% of Cognizant employees nationwide are female, which is more than the 36% average for gender diversity in the IT sector.</p>

<p>According to Cognizant, more than half of the 13 centers in the nation have more than 40% female employees, with female directors in charge of two of the biggest centers. Cognizant hopes to rethink existing policies and programs and unify all women-centric activities under one roof with Shakti.</p>
<p>“Shakti will catalyze our efforts to enable more women to advance their careers and reach their full potential,” said Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S. A diverse and inclusive workforce is necessary for growth, creativity, and client-centricity; this is especially true as generative AI becomes more and more integrated into the workplace. Problem-finding rather than problem-solving will become the most crucial human talent, emphasizing cognitive variety.</p>
<p>Furthermore, according to the firm, Cognizant and Nasscom have teamed together to develop and prioritize best practices with the mutual objective of making diversity and inclusion (D&I) a crucial differentiator of India’s software industry. In addition, Cognizant said that it has reached a deal to buy Elite ServiceNow partner Thirdera in order to strengthen ServiceNow’s role in cross-industry digital transformation. The ServiceNow Business Group at Cognizant will gain roughly 940 new staff as a result of this purchase. The biggest independent, worldwide pure-play ServiceNow consultancy is called Thirdera.</p>
